Nthabiseng Thema

Nthabiseng joined the investment team at Sango in 2015. She is responsible for investment research, due diligence and portfolio management. Prior to joining Sango, Nthabiseng was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Johannesburg where she worked on strategy, operational efficiency, transformation and organizational restructure projects across several sectors. Prior to working at McKinsey, Nthabiseng was a senior investment officer in the private equity fund of funds division of the Development Bank of Southern Africa where she reviewed and completed investments into several Pan African and South African private equity funds.She started her career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley and HSBC.

Nthabiseng is a chartered accountant and a CFA charterholder. She holds a post graduate diploma in accounting and a bachelor of accounting degree from the University of Natal in South Africa.
